Morty & Bobs, Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross, London
Fraher & Findlay worked on a number of projects as part of the Kings Cross Re-development. We worked on Spiritland which opened in 2017 and won the New London Architecture Retail Design Awards, moving on to the recently completed Unit 2 for Coal Drops Yard.
Alongside this work we assisted our partner Joinery company, Shape London, with the delivery of a retail unit for Morty and Bobs. The co-ordinaton of all the MEP services into the arched unit was a challenge but resulted in a layout and design that worked hard and successfully for the Client.
The modular use of materials enhanced the existing listed setting of the arch and the use of soft colour shades and material finishes warmed up the industrial space.
